This series consists of approximately 7000 index cards produced by the Division of Waterways Maintenance to facilitate access to revocable permits for the use of canal lands and waters (Series B1789). The cards present, in an abstracted form, similar information to that contained in the permits. Information transcribed on the cards includes name and address of permittee, date of permit, Dept. of Transportation region, permit number, permit costs (issuance, per year, renewal, and amendment), a brief description of the action approved by the permit, and if the permit was cancelled.
